Here are the basic steps we take ensure you get the best solution for your design needs:

  • Design Consultation: A designer will gather background information on your business, your target market and your goals. Based on this information, the designer suggests several creative possibilities for the direction of the site. You and the designer discuss the options and make creative decisions based on the best way to reach your target audience and accomplish your marketing and sales goals. These decisions will be reflected in both the design of the site and the navigational system that operates the site.
  • Color scheme: J.E. Shannon & Associates' designer will create up to three color schemes so that you can choose what would best represent your company or organization. Based on your feedback, the designer will produce mock-ups of the front page and one sub-page for your input. Once approved, these templates will be used to create every page on the site.
  • Fonts and styles: You can use your own custom fonts or choose from hundreds of possible fonts and styles to use throughout the site.
  • Artwork/photo scanning: J.E. Shannon & Associates will scan up to 5 images, photographs or artwork per web page. The scans will include formatting, cropping and resizing if needed.
  • Revision: If, after you see the combined color scheme, site layout, design and navigation system - but BEFORE any sub pages are created - you don't like it, you can completely change everything once for no extra cost. Subsequent changes will incur additional charges.

How it works

  • Design will not begin until all content is received.
    • What is content? Content is all wording, pictures, product listings that will be contained in your website. If you are planning on taking real time orders using a credit card processing service, a digital certificate will also need to be provided by you.
    • What is a digital certificate? An attachment to an electronic message used for security purposes. You will receive a digital certificate via email from your merchant after you sign up for an account.
    • What happens if you don't have content ready yet? Just inform your designer and when you are ready with your content we will begin your design process.
  • Is email setup included with as part of design? No, however we will setup your email account for additional charge.
  • How should I submit products? An Excel spreadsheet is the preferred method. If you would like assistance with the format of the Excel spreadsheet, just inform your designer.
  • Please note each mock up is a 1 page layout designed to give you an example of what the web page will look like. The additional 4 pages of the website will not be completed until this is approved. This is the most time consuming part of the design process. Delayed decisiveness can prolong the design process.
  • A designer will contact you, via email to introduce themselves and setup a consultation or request content. Please make sure that your contact information is correct in your order. If we are unable to contact you, your account will be labeled as inactive and will remain so until you contact us. You may re-enable it at anytime you are ready at no additional charge.

Logo Design/re-design If you don't have a logo or company brand, J.E. Shannon & Associates will produce two alternate logos for your approval $250
Identity Branding Let us design your logo and create a corporate identity for your company. It includes a logo, tagline, business card, envelope, and letterhead. Cost is for design only. All designs are in print format for your needs. Printing is not included. $750 one time fee
Form This is a form to collect data from the user. The scripting to process the form is not included. $100 one time fee
Feature Integration Integrating within your site chat rooms, discussion lists, guest books, reader polls, online quizzes, or visitor hit counter $50 each
Additional complete site revisions Complete redesign of user interface not covered by the maintenance contract $150 per page
Document Services Document to PDF (Adobe Acrobat) Conversion $20 per document

Audio/Video Services Encode Video/Audo Clip into Real or Windows Media Format $150 per 5 minutes of video or audio
Add a video or audio clip to your site. If you give us the original movie or sound we can encode it to the appropriate format for web delivery. $50/hr
Flash A Flash movie can be used as an animated graphic internally on the site, or at the beginning as an intro to your site. $250 one time fee
Animated Gif A short animation on your site $75 one time fee
Advertising Engines Install and configure banner rotation system $200
Mail list system This allows you to collect your customer's email addresses through a web form and add them to a list for bulk-emailing. This can give you a quick and easy way to notify your audience of new products or news. $75 one time fee
